This page is to keep you updated on our responce to the Coronavirus.

Update 05/15/2020 - 6:00PM - We Are Reopening!

We are making plans to reopen physical gatherings on Sunday, May 31!
Our decision to move our services exclusively online was not out of fear but because love compels us to do whatever it takes to protect the most vulnerable among us. Therefore, we believe the restrictions on large gatherings will be lifted by May 31st and feel that it will be a safe time for us to reopen. It also gives us time to prep our facility and volunteers for launch day.

We will continue to offer church online for those who still don't feel safe coming to a large gathering.

In the coming weeks we will publish our plan for precautions we will take when reopening. So check back soon.

You are loved!

Update 03/18/2020 - 6:30PM - We are moving online only!

Bayou Talla Family,

We are moving our Sunday worship service to our new Church Online Platform!

After much prayer and deliberation, we have decided to heed the recommendation of the CDC and the White House and temporarily move our Sunday worship service exclusively online for the next few weeks. We have not made this decision out of fear - for God has not given us a spirit of fear - but to protect our community, slow the spread of the Coronavirus, and exercise love for our neighbor.

We pray we’ll be able to gather in person very soon, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have church! We’re excited we always have the opportunity to learn and grow as a church family by worshipping together at Bayou Talla Online. You don’t have to worship alone, be sure to invite friends and family to join you online!

This week, Pastor Justus has prepared a special message called Empty of Fear & Filled with Faith. He’ll unpack how we are to respond to the chaos in our world - and how to deal with the anxiety and fear many are feeling right now.

Now more than ever, we’re reminded that the Church isn’t about the building. It’s about people gathering to worship our God who is faithful, in control, and with us wherever we are. We can’t wait to do just that this Sunday at Bayou Talla Online—see you there!

Update 03/14/2020 - 7 AM - We are open!

Bayou Talla Family,

We are assessing an appropriate response plan as recommended by CDC to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

One of the recommendations is to limit opportunities for people to be in close proximity. However, our gatherings are below the CDC’s recommendation to avoid gathering more than 250 people.

This Sunday we will have our usual Bible study hour for all ages at 9:00 AM and our main worship service at 10:00 AM.

Other steps we are taking for this Sunday:
  1.  We are working diligently as always to keep our church facilities cleaned.
  2. Hand sanitizer is available throughout our campus and we encourage you to wash hands frequently.
  3. When we gather for worship, exchange friendly, verbal greetings instead of handshakes. Please respect the personal space of others.
  4. Our greeters will be at our entrance doors and will open doors for you.
  5. We will not pass offering baskets during the service. Instead, we will have offering baskets at the back of the sanctuary after service for you to drop contributions, or you may give online at www.bayoutalla.com/give.
  6. For those who are sick, please stay home and join us for worship via our livestream at www.bayoutalla.com/watch-live.

We will continue to update information on our website as needed regarding our schedule and other steps we may need to take to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We serve a good God who will see us through these uncertain days. Keep glorifying Him.

See you Sunday,

YOU ARE LOVED!
